Nessa terça-feira(14), a Polícia Civil do Maranhão deu cumprimento a um mandado de prisão preventiva contra um homem investigado pelos crimes de estelionato, associação criminosa e crimes contra as relações de consumo aplicados em cidades do Maranhão.

O caso é investigado pela Delegacia do Consumidor de São Luís, e a prisão foi realizada no município do Rio de Janeiro.

Segundo o delegado Rosanio Costa, o homem faz parte de uma organização especializada em aplicar golpes, principalmente, contra pessoas carentes em várias partes do Brasil.

Consta nas investigações que as vítimas tinham grandes prejuízos, pois entregavam aos estelionatários todo o valor de que dispunham.

A polícia averiguou que, para enganar as vítimas, os estelionatários criam uma empresa, cujo endereço é sempre de destaque na cidade. As empresas são inauguradas com o intuito de atuar no mercado de consórcio com o objetivo de vender cotas de consórcio de maneira enganosa, fazendo com que o consumidor final tenha grandes prejuízos.

Há casos em que as vítimas ficam sem qualquer perspectiva econômica e em situação depressiva, após perceber ter sido vítima de um golpe.

De acordo com as investigações da Delegacia do Consumidor, normalmente o golpe é iniciado através das redes sociais, como o Facebook e nas plataformas de classificados online, especialmente OLX, da seguinte forma, o estelionatário anuncia um veículo nos endereços eletrônicos e, para melhor atrair a vítima, faz ofertas com o preço bem abaixo do valor real de mercado, deixando um telefone pessoal para contato e, consequentemente, início do golpe.
