Rafael Chang veio a São Luís a convite do senador Roberto Rocha 

O presidente da Toyota do Brasil, Rafael Chang, esteve em São Luís, nesta sexta-feira (1°), para conhecer os potenciais competitivos do Maranhão, bem como as oportunidades de investimentos no estado.

Rafael Chang foi recepcionado pelo Senador Roberto Rocha e pelo prefeito de São Luís, Eduardo Braide, no Palácio de La Ravardiere, sede da Prefeitura Municipal.

A visita técnica do presidente da Toyota ao Maranhão deve-se a um convite do senador Roberto Rocha. Segundo o parlamentar maranhense, este foi o primeiro, de uma série de grandes investidores que visitarão o estado com o objetivo de conhecerem os diferenciais estratégicos e competitivos existentes no Maranhão.

“Somos agraciados em ter o maior complexo portuário das américas. Então está claro que, no Maranhão, temos todos os atrativos internacionais para poder receber esses grandes investidores. O nosso estado está preparado para receber investimentos”, afirmou o senador maranhense.

Durante a mesa redonda, Roberto Rocha apresentou a Zona de Exportação do Maranhão (ZEMA), projeto de sua autoria, já sancionado pelo presidente da República, Jair Bolsonaro, que cria uma zona de livre comércio no Maranhão, com isenções fiscais e reduções de tributos, para dinamizar a economia e promover o desenvolvimento regional e nacional a partir da localização geográfica do Complexo Portuário do Itaqui.

“Eu afirmo, com segurança, que o caminho e a solução para os principais problemas do nosso estado, está na industrialização. E a forma de industrializar o Maranhão, é com a ZEMA, que é um mecanismo que vai fazer com que indústrias sejam instaladas em nosso território, gerando emprego e renda para os maranhenses”, garantiu Roberto Rocha.

O prefeito Eduardo Braide, por sua vez, exibiu, em uma breve apresentação, o potencial turístico e econômico da capital maranhense.

“É uma ótima chance de atrair os olhares da iniciativa privada para São Luís e seu potencial econômico. Criam-se assim, grandes oportunidades”, ressaltou Braide.

Rafael Chang recebeu de forma positiva as informações sobre o Maranhão e disse estar aberto a novos mercados:

“A Toyota acredita, investe no mercado brasileiro, que tem um potencial gigantesco. Estamos sempre atentos a novas oportunidades dentro do país”, disse.
