Dragão demite técnico Jorginho após a derrota por 2 a 1
Em uma partida movimentada no Estádio da Serrinha, em Goiânia, o Goiás venceu o clássico regional contra o Atlético-GO por 2 a 1, chegando a 32 pontos passou a ocupar, momentaneamente, a nona posição na Série A do Campeonato Brasileiro. Caetano e Marquinhos Gabriel marcaram para o Alviverde, enquanto Shaylon descontou para o Dragão. O Atlético-GO estacionou nos 22 pontos e fechará a rodada ainda na 19ª colocação, na zona de rebaixamento (Z4).
Duas horas após a derrota no clássico regional, o Atlético-GO demitiu o técnico Jorginho, que comandava a equipe desde maio. Durante o período, o Dragão jogou 27 vezes (10 vitórias, seis empates e 11 derrotas).
Atuando em casa para pouco mais de 12 mil presentes, o Goiás foi rápido no gatilho. Aos 10 minutos da primeira etapa, após escanteio cobrado pela esquerda, Caetano desviou de cabeça, a bola atingiu a cabeça do zagueiro Klaus, do Atlético e enganou o goleiro Renan, entrando no canto direito. O gol foi confirmado para o lateral esmeraldino.
A receita deu certo novamente no segundo tempo. Aos oito, Marquinhos Gabriel, que fazia sua estreia pelo Goiás, aproveitou sobra de chute na entrada da área e colocou no canto esquerdo para ampliar.
Pouco depois, o lateral Hayner, do Dragão, recebeu cartão vermelho direto por acertar o braço no rosto de Dadá Belmonte. No entanto, a vantagem numérica no placar e na quantidade de atletas em campo não trouxe tranquilidade para o Goiás.
Aos 34, a equipe também ficou com dez em campo com a expulsão de Caio Vinícius por entrada violenta em Dudu. Quatro minutos depois, Shaylon, que havia entrado pouco antes, recebeu pela esquerda e chutou cruzado, vencendo Tadeu e diminuindo o placar.
Após seis minutos de acréscimo, o Goiás assegurou o triunfo por 2 a 1, que o fez ultrapassar provisoriamente o Bragantino e o América-MG, que ainda jogam na rodada. O próximo compromisso da equipe é diante do Santos, na Vila Belmiro, no dia 5 de setembro. Já o Dragão, que atua novamente pelo Brasileirão no dia anterior, contra o Atlético Mineiro, tem um duelo importantíssimo no meio de semana. Encara o São Paulo na quinta-feira (1º), pela partida de ida da semifinal da Copa Sul-Americana.
Coritiba interrompe má fase – Coritiba e Avaí entraram em campo no Couto Pereira neste sábado (27) carregando sequências negativas. O Coxa vinha de quatro derrotas consecutivas, enquanto o Leão da Ressacada amargava seis jogos sem vencer. Ao final dos 90 minutos, somente um saiu aliviado. Foi o Coritiba, que venceu por 1 a 0 com um gol de Fabrício Daniel aos 32 da segunda etapa. Ele recebeu próximo à entrada da área, pelo meio e chutou colocado para não dar chances ao goleiro Vladimir, do Avaí.
Com o resultado, o Coxa ultrapassou o próprio Avaí e também o Cuiabá, deixando, mesmo que por enquanto, o Z4 do Brasileirão. Os paranaenses ocupam a 16ª posição na tabela, com 25 pontos, enquanto os catarinenses estão em 18º lugar, com 23.
Na próxima rodada, ambos entram em campo no sábado (3). O Avaí visita o Juventude às 16h30 (horário de Brasília) e o Coritiba vai até Belo Horizonte encarar o América-MG às 20h30.
