O Bahia venceu o Vasco de virada na tarde deste domingo (28) para a alegria de mais de 48 mil torcedores que lotaram a Arena Fonte Nova, em Salvador. Um jogo eletrizante do início ao fim, com direito a dois gols contra: o primeiro do meia-atacante Ricardo Goulart, em sua estreia pelo Bahia, que abriu o placar para o rival carioca; e aos 39 o zagueiro Quinteiro igualou para o Esquadrão de Aço. Já nos acréscimos da etapa inicial, Goulart se redimiu e virou o placar para o Brasil.
Com o triunfo no fechamento da 26ª rodada da Série B do Campeonato Brasileiro, o time baiano segue na vice-liderança, com 47 pontos, 10 atrás do Cruzeiro que desponta na tabela de classificação para a Série A. O Vasco se mantém com 42 pontos, em quarto lugar.
O Bahia começou com pressão total sobre o Cruzmaltino. A Arena Fonte Nova bateu hoje (28) recorde de público: 48. 660 presentes (48.183 pagantes). Aos sete minutos, após passe perfeito de Mugni pela esquerda, Vitor Jacaré chutou forte e quase abriu o placar, mas o goleiro Thiago Rodrigues espalmou. Na sequência, aos 15, Davó dentro da área mandou uma bomba para fora. Mas, apesar do domínio em campo, que abriu o placar foi o Vasco aos 18 minutos, com gol contra de Ricardo Goulart.
O gol saiu após dois ecanteios seguidos: no últiimo deles, Nenê cobrou na medida para Tubarão cabecear ao gol, mas ao subir, na dividida, o bola bateu no peito de Goulart antes de entrar.
Após sofrer o gol, o Esquadrão de Aço diminuiu o ritmo, mas nem por isso o Cruzmaltino chegou a ameaçar o gol de Danilo Fernandes. O time carioca teve dificuldade em construir jogadas e pouco finalizou. A 10 minutos do fim da primeira etapa, a história do jogo mudou.
Aos 39 minutos, Quintero devolveu o gol contra, empatando para o Bahia. O zagueiro cruzmaltino deu um carrinho para cortar um cruzamento de Matheus Biba e igualou o jogo na Arena Fonte Nova. E nos acréscimos, Ricardo Goulart se redimiu do gol contra e marcou de cabeça, após escanteio, virando o placar para o delírio da torcida presente.
Na segunda etapa o jogo seguiu movimentado. Aos 10 minutos, o técnico Emílio Faro, do Vasco, colocou em campo Gabriel Pec e Figueiredo no lugar de Paulo Vitor e Tubarão. O time carioca passou a dominar mais a bola.
Aos 17 minutos, Nenê cobrou escanteio e Andrey quase empatou, mas a bola foi para fora. Em seguida, aos 23, em novo escanteio de Nenê, Anderson Conceição subiu e cabeçou rente à trave.
O Bahia também teve oportunidade de ampliar, a melhor delas aos 39 minutos, após cruzamento de Jacaré para Luiz Henrique mandar uma bomba, mas Thiago Rodrigues fez linda defesa. E já aos 49, no último lance, Edmar pela esquerda chutou para Gabriel Pec livre na entrada da área, mas o colega Eguinaldo entrou tentou dominar e frustrou a finalização de Pec.
