Em suas redes sociais, o governador Carlos Brandão comunicou que a bancada maranhense no Congresso Nacional decidiu destinar R$ 25 milhões para o custeio da estrutura de saúde pública do Maranhão e para o início das obras do Centro de Convenções da Universidade Estadual do Maranhão (UEMA).
“A bancada federal maranhense destinou R$ 25 milhões, das emendas impositivas, ao governo do Estado, para o início da construção do Centro de Convenções da UEMA e auxílio no custeio da saúde. Agradeço aos deputados e senadores. Estaremos sempre à disposição, pelo bem do Maranhão”, informou Brandão.
As emendas impositivas são aquelas em que deputados, senadores, comissão parlamentar ou a bancada estadual indicam ações, projetos e obras que o governo deve executar.
“Hoje definimos as emendas que vão ajudar o governador Carlos Brandão. Apesar das diferenças, a bancada federal está unida pelo bem do nosso povo. Viva o Maranhão!”, comemorou o deputado federal reeleito, Rubens Pereira Jr.
Reforço na saúde
A destinação de recursos para a saúde maranhense foi uma sugestão levantada pelo próprio Carlos Brandão, durante reunião com deputados e senadores do Maranhão na última terça-feira (8), em Brasília.
Durante o encontro com os parlamentares, Brandão justificou a sugestão, alegando o alto custo mensal para manutenção da rede estadual de saúde. “A minha sugestão é no custeio da saúde. O que vocês puderem nos ajudar, estamos à disposição”, disse o governador.
Na ocasião, Brandão lembrou que a estrutura de Saúde Pública do Maranhão foi sensivelmente requalificada nos últimos sete anos, com a entrega de 17 Policlínicas, 31 Hospitais Macrorregionais e dezenas de obras em hospitais municipais.
