Por outro lado, destaca-se a grande campanha do Galo que foi campeão Brasileiro e o América que se classificou para a Libertadores da América em sua fase preliminar.

Para o torcedor do Cruzeiro, as partidas como mandante serão transmitidas pelo streaming do site do jornal O Tempo, e as como visitante pelo Grupo Globo. Demais confrontos (de outros times) do Estadual de Minas, ao menos por enquanto, não têm transmissão prevista.

O Campeonato Mineiro de 2023 começa neste sábado e terá Atlético-MG e Cruzeiro em campo. A edição deste ano terá novo formato: os 12 times do Módulo I disputarão o torneio divididos em três grupos de quatro times na fase classificatória. Assim como no Paulistão, as equipes vão enfrentar adversários dos outros grupos. Também volta a final em dois jogos.

Regulamento
As equipes serão divididas em três grupos de quatro times na fase classificatória e somente enfrentarão adversários dos outros grupos. A proposta apresentada e aprovada foi encabeçada por América, Atlético e Cruzeiro.
O objetivo é diminuir as datas destinadas à competição. A primeira fase terá oito datas, e a semifinal e final terão mais quatro datas: três a menos em relação ao torneio de 2022.
