Todos os 84 jogos do Pernambucano 2023 terão alguma transmissão e serão divididos em três plataformas diferentes: a Rede Globo (TV aberta), a plataforma DAZN (pay-per-view) e o canal da FPF no YouTube (streaming).

O Campeonato Pernambucano 2022 manterá o mesmo formato disputa de 2021 e será iniciado em 22 de janeiro. Novamente, o estadual terá 13 datas, com dez times se enfrentando na primeira fase.
Os representantes dos clubes se encontraram em Conselho Arbitral na Federação Pernambucana de Futebol (FPF). Assim, acabou sendo definido pelos representantes das dez equipes participantes da Série A1 do Campeonato Pernambucano 2022 que o formato de disputa seria mantido e que o início da competição será no dia 22 de janeiro.
A reunião foi realizada em Conselho Arbitral com membros da Federação Pernambucana de Futebol, na sede da entidade. Os participantes da competição serão: Náutico, Sport, Salgueiro, Santa Cruz, Afogados, Vera Cruz, Retrô, Sete de Setembro, Íbis e Caruaru City. Os dois últimos citados conquistaram acesso na temporada atual.
As quartas de final e as semifinais serão jogos únicos, com mando de jogo para os melhores classificados na fase de classificação e decisão em ida e volta. Portanto, o campeonato terá 13 datas para ser disputado.
Lembrando que os quatro últimos colocados da primeira fase do campeonato jogam quadrangular do rebaixamento e os dois melhores escapam do rebaixamento.
Dos seis times que passam de fase, os dois primeiros já se garantem na semifinal. Enquanto que o 3º enfrenta o 6º e 4º enfrenta o 5º para definir os outros dois semifinalistas. É importante lembrar que estes confrontos serão realizados em jogo único e o mando será do time que conseguiu o melhor desempenho na primeira fase.
A semifinal também será em jogo único e o mando de campo será do líder e vice-líder da primeira fase. Na final, os confrontos serão de ida e volta, e o clube que tiver feito mais pontos na primeira fase realizará a segunda partida em casa.
Formato
A primeira fase, todos os clubes se enfrentam em jogos de ida e volta, onde serão classificados os seis melhores. Os quatro piores deverão realizar um quadrangular de pontos corridos em três datas, que servirá para definir os dois rebaixados para o Campeonato Pernambucano Série A2 de 2023. Os dois primeiros colocados na primeira fase garantem participação na semifinal.
Essa fase será disputada em jogo único. O 3º colocado enfrentará o 6º e o 4º jogará contra o 5º com objetivo de definir os outros dois semifinalistas. O mande de jogo será dos melhores times e em caso de igualdade, a decisão será feita por meio dos pênaltis.
Essa também será disputada em apenas um jogo, que terá mando do líder e vice-líder da primeira fase. Se houver empate, a decisão será nos pênaltis.
Essa contará com jogos de ida e volta. O time que tiver a melhor campanha no primeiro turno jogará em casa. A definição do campeão será por meio de soma da pontuação nos dois jogos.
Observações:
Havendo empate nos pontos, o primeiro critério de avaliação será o saldo de gols na fase (sem gol qualificado). Se o empate permanecer nos 180 minutos, a decisão será nos pênaltis.
Em caso de igualdade em pontos, o primeiro critério será o saldo de gols na fase (sem gol qualificado). Persistindo o empate nos 180 minutos, o campeão sairá nos pênaltis.

Havendo empate na 1ª fase e no quadrangular do rebaixamento serão adotados os seguintes critérios na seguinte ordem:
