Senhas foram distribuídas no inicio do mês
Na manhã deste sábado (21), mastologistas do Hospital do Câncer Aldenora Bello farão atendimento gratuito para mulheres que receberam senhas no início do mês. O atendimento será realizado durante a manhã neste sábado como forma de prevenção contra novos casos e identificação do câncer de mama.
A Fundação Antônio Dino, mantenedora do Hospital do Câncer Aldenora Bello, realiza anualmente a campanha “Outubro Rosa”, e este ano visa a conscientização da população maranhense sobre a importância da prevenção, diagnóstico precoce e tratamento do câncer de mama. Com o tema “Eu visto o tom da Prevenção, e você?”, a campanha tem o objetivo promover a conscientização da população além de incentivar a procurar um médico anualmente para realizar mamografia a partir dos 40 anos.
Ainda como parte da programação de conscientização durante todo o mês de outubro serão disponibilizadas venda de camisas da campanha onde toda a renda obtida será destinada para compra de próteses mamárias para pacientes em atendimento no Hospital do Câncer Aldenora Bello.
As camisas da campanha podem ser encontradas na sede da Fundação Antonio Dino, com um dos voluntários e através dos fones 9971.9897 ou 3089 3153.
Para a coordenadora da mastologia do Hospital do Câncer Aldenora Bello, Dra Gláucia Carneiro a campanha do outubro rosa é de extrema importância para a conscientização da população quanto à prevenção e a participação da sociedade como um todo nas doações para que se mantenha o recorrente sucesso das reconstruções mamárias.
“Temos nos destacado consideravelmente na realização das reconstruções aqui no Hospital. Isso graças a um incremento que só é possível com a doação da comunidade e venda das camisas.Todos podem ajudar. Ao comprar uma camisa já ajuda na Campanha. O SUS paga uma parte da prótese, mas essa “diferença’ precisa ser repassada e só conseguimos manter o serviço com o apoio da população”, disse a Mastologista.
“A conscientização e prevenção precisa ser feita durante todo o ano. Precisamos diminuir essa incidência com conhecimento e prevenção”, complementou. A equipe de Mastologista do HCAB é especializada em reconstrução mamária imediata o que diminui as conseqüências causada pelo câncer.
Outubro Rosa – A Campanha Outubro Rosa é um movimento mundial de conscientização para a prevenção e diagnostico precoce do câncer de mama, realizada durante o mês de outubro. O movimento surgiu em 1990 em Nova York com a primeira corrida pela cura, evento que se tornou anual desde então.
Em 1997, outras entidades das cidades de Yuba e Lodi, também nos Estados Unidos, começaram a promover ações voltadas ao diagnóstico e prevenção do câncer de mama, elegendo o mês de outubro como epicentro de suas atividades.
A iniciativa repercutiu rapidamente, e hoje diversos países e instituições endossam e promovem criativamente a iniciativa. No Maranhão, a Fundação Antonio Dino e o Hospital do Câncer Aldenora Bello promovem a campanha Outubro Rosa, visando a conscientização da população Maranhense sobre o câncer de mama, sua prevenção e diagnóstico precoce.
Câncer de mama no Maranhão – O câncer de mama é o segundo tipo de câncer mais comum no mundo e o freqüente entre as mulheres. De acordo com o Instituto Nacional do Câncer (INCA), o número de novos casos para o triênio 2023 a 2025 é de 73.610. Uma incidência 66,54% novos casos para cada 100 mil mulheres.
A incidência do câncer de mama tem subido progressivamente nos últimos anos, e já se tornou um importante problema de saúde pública. A taxa de sobrevida em 5 anos após o câncer de mama pode chegar a 89% em países desenvolvidos. Entretanto, essa realidade é bem diferente em países menos desenvolvidos, como o Brasil, reduzindo a sobrevida em 5 anos da população mundial a 61%, devido a dificuldades para o diagnostico precoce e tratamento adequados.
Fundação Antonio Dino – A Fundação Antonio Dino é uma instituição filantrópica que atua na luta contra o câncer no Maranhão, desde dezembro de 1976. Fundada por Enide Moreira Lima Jorge Dino, a partir da união entre a Liga Maranhense e a Rede Feminina de Combate ao Câncer, após o falecimento do Dr. Antonio Jorge Dino, um dos precursores da luta contra o câncer no Maranhão. A Fundação mantém diversas atividades de combate ao câncer no Maranhão, entre elas:
