Turismo fomenta negócios em vilarejo dos Lençóis Maranhenses
Nos últimos anos, a intensificação do movimento turístico no povoado Atins, que pertence ao município de Barreirinhas, no Maranhão, gerou mais oportunidades de trabalho e renda. A artesã Doralice Cabral Nunes, de 67 anos, mora no vilarejo há cinco décadas e acompanhou as mudanças no local, que antes vivia principalmente da pesca, mas hoje tem outra força motriz: “Todo mundo trabalhando com o Turismo”.
Dona Dora, como é conhecida, faz artesanato desde os 7 anos de idade. A partir da fibra de buriti, carnaúba, coqueiro e açaí, ela confecciona jogo americano, cordão, pulseira, anel, brinco, bolsa, rede e outros artigos utilizando a técnica macramê, que usa nós para o tecimento. “Tem bastante encomenda”, afirma a artesã.
Parte desses pedidos vem de empreendimentos locais como o hotel Vila Aty, que emprega em diversas áreas da hospedagem itens decorativos produzidos por artesãos do município.
“A ambientação do hotel é pensada para fazer o visitante se sentir imerso na cultura local, por isso buscamos utilizar peças artesanais feitas por pessoas da região, de modo a também apoiar e valorizar o trabalho deles”, explica o empresário Saulo Prazeres, um dos responsáveis pelo hotel.
Além da venda de artesanato, Dona Dora também mantém um espaço onde é servido café da manhã diariamente e, à tarde, funciona também como sorveteria. Ela ainda arranja tempo para trabalhar como quadritaxista mediante agendamento. O quadritáxi é uma modalidade de transporte com quadriciclo bastante comum no vilarejo.
Mesmo com a agenda cheia, ela considera seu dia a dia agradável e tranquilo. “Eu não pretendo nem voltar para a terra onde eu nasci, porque eu gosto muito daqui e aqui é um lugar muito bom para viver”, finaliza.
