Entidade busca parcerias para restauração do prédio
A Associação Comercial do Maranhão (ACM), após notificada pela Defesa Civil de riscos na estrutura do seu edifício-sede, comunicou a interdição do Palácio do Comércio. A medida torna-se necessária para que sejam providenciados reparos em sua estrutura.
A medida implica na transferência, por tempo indeterminado, da sede e dos serviços administrativos da entidade para um local a ser definido e a intensificação de alternativas para a recuperação, projeto encampado pela atual gestão, em curso há três anos.
As providências de desocupação seguirão orientações técnicas dos órgãos competentes, de modo a garantir a segurança necessária de usuários, inquilinos e de pessoas que circulam pela área.
Providências – Paralelamente, o comunicado frisa as providências que estão sendo adotadas neste momento e a intensificação da mobilização para levantamento de alternativas, parcerias e dos recursos necessários para custeio da reforma e revitalização do edifício, que este ano completou 80 anos de fundação.
Para o presidente Cristiano Barroso Fernandes, o momento é de assegurar as condições de segurança aos usuários, restabelecimento das condições de acesso ao edifício de cuidados com a preservação do acervo patrimonial da entidade.
“Em conjunto com as autoridades, com o Conselho Superior e o corpo de associados da Casa, vamos empreender as providências necessárias para sanar a situação o mais breve possível e da encaminhamos para as ações de reforma e recuperação do edifício, que simboliza o período áureo do comércio em São Luís, buscando parcerias e as condições para que, no mais breve espaço de tempo possível, possamos devolver à cidade o Palácio do Comércio reformado, revitalizado, de forma segura para o uso de todos”, explicou o dirigente.
“Vamos buscar alternativas de parcerias para este empreendimento, cientes de que precisamos de um esforço coletivo, que envolva a classe empresarial e o poder público, dada a importância histórica dessa edificação. A ideia é que possamos abrigar ali, após a recuperação da estrutura predial, fachada e das áreas internas, um hub de inovação, tecnologia e espaços colaborativos para capacitação, geração de negócios e fomento à inovação e à gestão empreendedora eficiente. Esse é um projeto que tem mobilizado a nossa gestão e para o qual precisaremos da colaboração das esferas pública e da iniciativa privada, de modo que o edifício ganhe uma destinação compatível com as tendências atuais, além de abrigar a sede administrativa da entidade, que completa 170 anos em 2024”, acrescentou o presidente
