Belo Horizonte, MG, 30 (AFI) – O Cruzeiro pressionou demais, finalizou 23 vezes, mas não teve precisão e só empatou com o Athletico-PR, por 1 a 1, nesta quinta-feira, no Mineirão, em Belo Horizonte, em jogo válido pela 36ª e antepenúltima rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro.

O empate não foi para ambas as equipes. O Cruzeiro chegou aos 45 pontos, em 14º lugar, e abriu quatro de vantagem sobre o Bahia, primeiro time na zona de rebaixamento. Já o Athletico-PR, com 53, ficou sem chances de classificação para a próxima Copa Libertadores.

Empurrado por sua torcida, o Cruzeiro dominou o primeiro tempo e só não saiu vencedor nos primeiros 45 minutos por causa da boa atuação do goleiro Bento, da equipe paranaense.

EQUILIBRADO

Nos primeiros 35 minutos, o Cruzeiro finalizou dez vezes, enquanto o Athletico-PR só foi incomodar Rafael Cabral aos 40 minutos.

A melhor oportunidade cruzeirense teve bola na trave, bela defesa de Bento e a zaga do Athletico-PR salvando o gol em dois momentos. Tudo no mesmo lance.

De tanto tentar, o Cruzeiro deu a impressão de cansar nos minutos finai do primeiro tempo. O Athletico-PR aproveitou e quase abriu o placar, aos 43 minutos, com Willian Bigode, mas Rafael Cabral fez grande defesa.

Ao final da primeira etapa, o bom público presente ao Mineirão e o técnico Paulo Autuori aplaudiram a atuação do Cruzeiro, por causa da vontade de seus jogadores em campo.

EMPATE NO FIM

O segundo tempo continuou com o mesmo panorama do primeiro. Logo aos dois minutos, Japa recebeu passe de Marlon dentro da área e errou a finalização.

O volume ofensivo do Cruzeiro permaneceu intenso, mas as finalizações foram erradas. Com isso, o nervosismo tomou conta da equipe, que passou a cometer falhas nas saída de bola. Em uma delas, aos 19 minutos, o Athletico-PR roubou a bola, Fernandinho fez belo lançamento para Erick e Vitor Roque só teve o trabalho para o gol: 1 a 0.

No desespero, o Cruzeiro foi para o ataque e Matheus Pereira foi derrubado por Erick. Pênalti, que Bruno Rodrigues bateu fraco e Bento defendeu.

Quando tudo levava a crer na vitória do Athletico-PR, Matheus Pereira acertou um lindo chute de fora da área para empatar, aos 39 minutos.

Daí até o final, o Cruzeiro pressionou muito, teve duas oportunidades com Robert, mas não conseguiu o gol da vitória.

PRÓXIMOS JOGOS

Na próxima rodada, o Cruzeiro enfrenta o Botafogo no domingo, às 18h30, no estádio Nilton Santos, no Rio de Janeiro (RJ). No mesmo dia e horário, o Athletico recebe o Santos, na Ligga Arena, em Curitiba (PR).
