A novidade em 2023 será a entrada dos canais dos streamer Casimiro , a Cazé TV, que transmitirá todos os jogos de VASCO E BOTAFOGO, quando estes forem mandantes.
Além da TV aberta, a tendência é que outras mídias, além da TV aberta, sejam exploradas. Há também a chance da criação de um pay-per-view próprio da competição, onde cada clube ficaria com o percentual que fosse arrecadado por sua torcida.A BAND fechou com dois dos quatro maiores clubes do Rio de Janeiro para tranmissão em TV Aberta, o Vasco, e Botafogo não aceitaram a proposta. O Fluminense e Flamengo terão seus jogos televisionados pela BAND, quando forem mandantes.

CAMPEONATO CARIOCA DE 2023
A tabela do Campeonato Carioca 2023 já foi divulgada pela Federação de Futebol do Rio de Janeiro (FERJ) e aguarda para início no dia 19 ou 26 de janeiro. Após arbitral realizado com os clubes no fim de dezembro, a FERJ finalmente a tabela com os jogos do Campeonato Carioca 2022.
Sendo assim, definiu-se que a competição terá o mesmo formato e regulamento da temporada 2021. Contudo, o início do campeonato ainda não está totalmente acertado, pois ainda existem dúvidas se ele irá começar no dia 19, de acordo com o que foi divulgado na tabela, ou no dia 26 de janeiro.
Quem é o maior campeão do Campeonato Carioca?
O Flamengo é maior campeão do Campeonato Carioca, com 37 títulos. O Fluminense deteve a marca de maior campeão durante muito tempo, mas a dominância do Rubro-Negro desde a virada do século acabou colocando o time na frente com a vitória no campeonato de 2009.
A decisão naquele ano foi entre Flamengo e Botafogo. O Flamengo acabou vencendo nos pênaltis e ultrapassou o Tricolor como maior vencedor da competição.
Dentre os grandes times do estado, o Fluminense é o que está a mais tempo sem vencer uma edição do Campeonato Carioca e não fica em primeiro lugar desde 2012, quando venceu o Alvinegro com gols de Fred, Rafael Sóbis, Rafael Moura e Marcos Júnior.
Em terceiro lugar está o Vasco da Gama, com 24 conquistas, em seguida está o Botafogo, com 21. Completando a lista está o São Cristóvão e Paissandu, com um troféu cada um. Desde 1966, quando o Bangu levou o título, somente os grandes times do estado foram campeões.
