Um homicídio a tiros foi registrado na manhã desta sexta-feira, 1º de julho, na Avenida do Agricultor, bairro Cidade Olímpica, em São Luís.
De acordo com a polícia, a vítima foi identificada como Mateus Sousa, de 23 anos, que possuía um registro criminal de roubo.
O homicídio, conforme a polícia, teria sido motivado por conflito entre facções criminosas que atuam na região. Há informações de moradores que a vítima estaria cometendo roubos pela área.
Policiais do 43º BPM se deslocaram até o local do crime e acionaram uma unidade do SAMU, que chegou para prestar socorro médico, mas a vítima já estava em óbito.
Diligências foram realizadas pela região para tentar localizar os autores do assassinato, mas, até o momento, eles não foram identificados.
