Nas primeiras horas da manhã desta sexta-feira (08), uma megaoperação da Polícia Civil do Maranhão foi deflagrada com o objetivo de combater o tráfico de drogas e crimes contra o patrimônio no município de Peritoró – distante 235 km de São Luís. Na ação foram cumpridos 11 mandados de busca e apreensão contra endereços alvos das investigações policiais.

Além dos mandados de buscas domiciliar cumpridos, o trabalho policial resultou nas prisões de seis pessoas, sendo cinco homens e uma mulher. Na ocasião, foram apreendidos dois revólveres e 49 munições calibre 38, 19 pinos de cocaína, 300 pequenas pedras de crack, 140 papelotes de maconha, além de R$ 1.700,00 em dinheiro.

A operação foi coordenada pela Superintendência de Polícia Civil do Interior (SPCI) com apoio operacional das Delegacias Regionais de Timon, Caxias, Presidente Dutra, Bacabal, e das especializadas Denarc de Caxias e Timon.
