Além de conquistar o bicampeonato brasileiro com o Palmeiras, o treinador realizou o sonho de conhecer Ronaldo Nazário. O português tietou o dono da SAF do Cruzeiro após o empate entre as equipes, por 1 a 1, no Mineirão. O vídeo do encontro viralizou nas redes sociais.
“Sou fã número 1 dessa fera. Quero dizer uma coisa aqui. Se este senhor entrar em Portugal, ele não sabe o carinho que os portugueses têm por ele e por Pelé. Só queria fazer duas coisas: ser campeão e tirar uma foto com Ronaldo”, disse Abel. “Trabalho muito f… Merecido”, respondeu o brasileiro, parabenizando o treinador por mais um título.
Ronaldo acompanhou a partida no camarote do Mineirão. Ele estava acompanhado de Pedro Lourenço, conselheiro do clube investidor da SAF cruzeirense. A gestão do pentacampeão à frente do futebol do time mineiro foi bastante criticada pela torcida ao longo da temporada. Porém, o ex-jogador deixou o estádio sob aplausos e com nome gritado nas arquibancadas.
PALMEIRAS DE ABEL CAMPEÃO
O Palmeiras precisava de apenas um empate para ficar com o título, sem depender de outros resultados. Endrick, principal jogador do time alviverde na reta final da temporada, abriu o placar no primeiro tempo. No apagar das luzes, Nikão deixou tudo igual para o Cruzeiro. A equipe paulista encerrou a competição com 70 pontos e alcançou o 12º título do Campeonato Brasileiro. O resultado também garantiu os mineiros na próxima edição da Copa Sul-Americana.
Este foi o 9º troféu que o Palmeiras conquista sob o comando de Abel Ferreira. O treinador faz suspense sobre a sua permanência no clube e ainda não definiu a renovação. Com contrato até dezembro de 2024, o português é alvo do Al-Sadd, do Catar. Segundo a imprensa internacional, o clube do Oriente Médio fez proposta “irrecusável” e está disposto a transformar Abel no técnico mais bem pago do planeta.
