Universidades e Institutos Federais se unem ao Tribunal Superior Eleitoral em campanha pela Democracia e Eleições Livres

A Associação Nacional dos Dirigentes das Instituições Federais de Ensino Superior (Andifes), juntamente à Associação Brasileira dos Reitores das Universidades Estaduais e Municipais (Abruem) e ao Conselho Nacional das Instituições da Rede Federal de Educação Profissional, Científica e Tecnológica (Conif), assinou um termo de cooperação e adesão ao Programa Permanente de Enfrentamento à Desinformação do Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE), que tem por objetivo conter a proliferação de notícias falsas que contaminam o processo democrático brasileiro.

O termo foi assinado no mês de junho em audiência com o presidente do Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE), Edson Fachin, quando as entidades também apresentaram um documento conjunto reforçando a confiança no TSE e na sua consolidada tradição de realizar eleições livres e seguras em todos os pleitos do período democrático recente. Juntas, as entidades representam todas as instituições de ensino superior público do Brasil, com mais de 150 organizações federais, estaduais e municipais, presentes em mais de mil municípios.

Conforme o acordo, as instituições se comprometem a auxiliar o TSE na divulgação das informações oficiais sobre o processo eleitoral, além de se engajarem na mobilização junto à sociedade civil para ampliar a participação nas eleições, sobretudo entre aqueles que não têm obrigatoriedade ao voto, como jovens e idosos. Além disso, se unem ao tribunal no incentivo à participação dos cidadãos como mesários nos dias de votação.

O compromisso de cooperação ao Programa Permanente de Enfrentamento à Desinformação do TSE foi reforçado pela Andifes durante a 188ª reunião ordinária do Conselho Pleno da Associação, que contou com a participação do presidente do Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE), ministro Edson Fachin, no dia 28/07, em Brasília. Na oportunidade, o ministro agradeceu à Andifes pela adesão ao programa e o lançamento da campanha em respeito à democracia e à confiança no processo eleitoral, na Justiça Eleitoral e nas urnas eletrônicas. “São ações que evidenciam o elevado grau de consciência cívica e de compromisso democrático da instituição”, reforçou. “Enfrentar a desinformação é promover a paz, o respeito e a harmonia, é lutar por um país mais justo e plural, mais apto a acomodar as divergências legítimas num espaço de diálogo contínuo, composto por habitantes que se reconhecem, reciprocamente, não como inimigos, mas como concidadãos”, pontuou.

A campanha mencionada pelo ministro é uma das ações de cooperação entre as entidades e o TSE, e estará disponível nos sites institucionais e nas redes sociais da Andifes, do Conif, das universidades federais e dos institutos federais até o término do período eleitoral, seguindo um cronograma de postagens e divulgação de informações ao longo das semanas, e sempre em consonância e respeito às regras da Justiça Eleitoral.
