Mulher morreu eletrocutada ao tocar em cerca energizada (Foto: Reprodução)

Uma mulher morreu na tarde dessa sexta-feira (07), vítima de uma descarga elétrica após tocar em uma cerca energizada na cidade de Timon, distante 428 km de São Luís. De acordo com populares, a vítima vivia em situação de rua e era conhecida como Noemia.

A Polícia Militar, por meio do 11° Batalhão de Timon, foi acionada pelos populares e atendeu à ocorrência, isolando a área.

A Equatorial Maranhão tomou conhecimento do acidente e lamentou o ocorrido. Segundo a distribuidora, um cabo de energia do transformador particular do local se rompeu, energizando o portão e a cerca.

Logo que a empresa tomou conhecimento da situação, mobilizou suas equipes que prestaram apoio ao Instituto Médico Legal (IML) e Polícia Militar, realizando os procedimentos de segurança necessários. A Companhia informou ainda que está acompanhando o caso e irá contribuir com o trabalho da perícia técnica.
