Recentemente, moradores e usuários da Lagoa da Jansen notaram que o nível da água estava baixo, fato que dificultou a utilização do espaço como lazer, e até mesmo como espaço de pesca amadora.
Após o diagnóstico do problema de dificuldade de manutenção no nível da água da lagoa, tendo em vista que a operação de abertura e fechamento segue sendo realizada corretamente, foi identificado um desalinhamento entre os canais que ligam o mar e a lagoa, de acordo com o Governo do Estado, por meio das Secretarias de Estado de Infraestrutura (Sinfra), de Governo (Segov) e de Meio Ambiente (SEMA).
O canal, atualmente, é formado por dois segmentos, um construído na década de 70 e outro na década de 90. O primeiro sofreu um recalque, ou seja, a estrutura que o segurava cedeu, por isso, houve um desalinhamento com o segundo.
Por causa desse desencontro, há a fuga de volume de água que vem impedindo a manutenção do nível da Lagoa da Jansen. A Sinfra informou que está trabalhando na finalização do projeto que visa realinhar o canal, com equipes atuando na sondagem do solo para verificar o perfil geológico da área. Após essa conclusão, os serviços de realinhamento serão iniciados imediatamente, destacou a gestão estadual.
“Nós queremos tranquilizar a população. Já estamos trabalhando na área e, muito em breve, a demanda de água na laguna vai ser resolvida. A obra, por ser de enormes dimensões e proporções, devido à delicadeza e peculiaridade do tipo de serviço, com uma parte submersa em água e outra sobre o solo, não pode ser realizada sem os devidos cuidados. Por isso, o projeto de realinhamento do canal está sendo realizado com cautela”, disse o secretário da Sifra, Aparício Bandeira.
Comportas e Monitoramento da Água
Por intermédio da Sinfra, o Governo do Maranhão informou que tem realizado, constantemente, a operação de abertura e fechamento da comporta do vertedouro que permite a comunicação entre a Lagoa da Jansen e o mar, dentro dos parâmetros técnicos que proporcionam a renovação da água e oxigenação. Essa operação tem sido responsável pela diminuição do odor, que, anteriormente, era característico do local e, também, pelo aumento da quantidade de espécies de peixes que são encontrados na laguna.
Por meio da SEMA, o Governo afirmou que tem realizado o monitoramento da qualidade de água e o acompanhamento das espécies existentes na área.
