Debate na Assembleia busca esclarecimentos para deficiência
O presidente da Agência Estadual de Mobilidade Urbana e Serviços Públicos (MOB), Celso Henrique Borgneth, promete que, no máximo em 90 dias, o serviço de travessia por ferry boats entre São Luís e Cujupe (Alcântara), voltará à normalidade com todos as embarcações operando. Ele participou nesta quinta-feira (02) de uma sessão na Assembleia Legislativa que debateu a precariedade do transporte entre a capital e a Baixada Maranhense pela via marítima.
O evento no parlamentar teve como objetivo esclarecer dúvidas sobre o sistema de transporte de ferry boats, e foi solicitado pelo deputado Neto Evangelista (União Brasil). “Queremos encontrar uma solução rápida para atender aos usuários, já que uns estão em manutenção e outros encontram-se parados”, ressaltou o parlamentar.
Participaram os deputados Ariston Ribeiro (PSB), Adelmo Soares (PCdoB), Dr. Yglesio (PSB), Thaiza Hortegal (PP), Jota Pinto (Podemos), Hélio Soares (PL), Carlinhos Florêncio (PCdoB), Zé Inácio (PT) e Wellington do Curso (PSC). Além dos parlamentares, estavam presentes membros do Ministério Público, representantes das empresas envolvidas e da sociedade civil organizada.
Segundo Celso Henrique Borgneth, todos os esforços estão sendo feitos para corrigir os erros no sistema.
“Estamos trabalhando para resolver tudo o mais rápido possível. Chegou uma embarcação nova e outras estão sendo recuperadas. Houve uma licitação, mas, infelizmente, o contrato não foi cumprido e teve de ser reincidido. Aqui, tivemos a oportunidade de discutir o assunto de forma transparente, colocando o Governo do Estado à disposição de todos os deputados para que, juntos, consigamos resolver esse problema que aflige a população da Baixada”, disse Borgneth.
O governador Carlos Brandão, numa postagem nas redes sociais, anunciou a chegada de nova embarcação para melhorias do serviço:

Transparência – O deputado Adelmo Soares ressaltou que os esclarecimentos revelam a transparência das ações do governo estadual. “O presidente da MOB respondeu a todas as perguntas com transparência. O que nós queremos é restabelecer o mais rápido possível o serviço oferecido à população”, disse.
Zé Inácio lembrou dos avanços do serviço ao longo dos anos. “Reconhecemos os problemas dos últimos meses, mas não podemos deixar de reconhecer, também, os avanços conquistados na área, assim como a boa vontade do governador Carlos Brandão de dar continuidade às melhorias”.
O procurador-geral de Justiça, Eduardo Nicolau, presente no debate, garantiu que o Ministério Público Estadual acompanha o desenrolar dos fatos e está aberto ao diálogo. “Este é um tema muito difícil e que acompanhamos desde a década de 1980. Nossa recomendação é que os ferryboats antigos sejam reformados para que os usuários não fiquem sem o serviço de travessia, pois a Baixada não pode ficar isolada”, destacou.
