Com o fim do contrato com a Globo, as partidas do GE.com, SPORTV, Premiere e Globo, deixarão de ser exibidos e apenas algumas TVs dos próprios clubes estão transmitindo os jogos. A FLATV e a VascoTV já usaram de seus canais para levar suas partidas aos torcedores. Veja a seguir onde acompanhar a partida. A novidade em 2022 será a entrada dos canais Flow Sport Club, na Twitch e no YouTube, e dos streamers Casimiro, Gaules e Ronaldo TV, na Twitch.
O Campeonato Carioca de 2022 terá 12 times se enfrentando em turno único, que é chamado de Taça Guanabara, onde os quatro melhores times avançam para as semifinais. Entretanto, aqueles que ficarem entre o quinto e oitavo não poderão disputar o título simbólico da Taça Rio.
A FERJ também divulgou a previsão do primeiro clássico da competição, na rodada quatro, que será entre Flamengo e Fluminense, que foram os times que decidiram o estadual de 2021 e as notícias do Flamengo, notícias do Vasco e notícias do Fluminense, o leitor do Opinião e Notícia acompanha nos sites do grupo MRnews.

Campeonato Carioca de Futebol de 2022 – Série A2 é a 45ª edição da segunda divisão do futebol no Rio de Janeiro. A disputa é organizada pela Federação de Futebol do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (FERJ). Desde 2021, a segunda divisão do Campeonato Carioca é chamada de Série A2. A temporada de 2022 conta com os ajustes determinados e realizados como consequência da criação do Campeonato Carioca de Futebol – Série A2 (que foi criada como a segunda divisão) e reformulação do Campeonato Carioca de Futebol – Série B1 (que passou a ser a terceira divisão) em 2021, e que contarão cada qual com a participação de 12 equipes
