COPA DO BRASIL SUB-20 2022
A Copa do Brasil Sub-20 é uma competição de futebol organizada pela Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF). Realizada anualmente a partir de 2012, o torneio teve sua primeira edição sendo conquistada pelo Vitória, que venceu o Atlético Mineiro na final.
No entanto, o maior vencedor é o São Paulo, que possui três títulos conquistados em 2015, 2016 e 2018. Os demais campeões foram o Internacional (2014), Atlético Mineiro (2017), Palmeiras (2019), Vasco da Gama (2020) e o Coritiba (2021).
Todas as edição foram disputada em sistema de jogos eliminatórios por 32 equipes, um torneio seletivo foi criado para dar uma vaga para representantes da região Norte, mas acabou sendo extinto após três edições. O campeão da edição de 2015, o São Paulo, conquistou uma vaga na Copa Libertadores da América Sub-20 como representante brasileiro. A partir de 2017, a competição oferece uma vaga para a Supercopa do Brasil de Futebol Sub-20.
História da Copa do Brasil Sub-20
Assim, a disputa juvenil, ou Sub-20, tem o São Paulo como o ‘bicho-papão’ da competição que começou a ser disputada desde 2012. Mas, desde então, o clube venceu três edições de 2015 a 2017. Portanto, em 2018, o Vitória bateu o Atlético Mineiro na final se sagrou o campeão da Copa do Braisl Sub-20. Já em 2019, em uma final com o Flamengo, o Palmeiras foi o grande campeão. Em 2020, o título ficou com o Vasco da Gama, que derrotou o Bahia. O Vasco é o atual campeão e defende o título da competição. O clube também foi o campeão da SUPERCOPA do Brasil Sub-20.
A CBF tem dado muita atenção ao futebol de base, principalmente o juvenil, organizando competições em nível nacional e revelando os talentos do futebol. Por outro lado, a seleção Sub-20, não tem um bom desempenho. No Brasil também existem competições organizadas pela CBF em nível nacional do Sub-17, além da Copinha, ou Copa São Paulo de Júniores, que também é Sub-20.
