Evento terá a participação de cinquenta artesãos
A Secretaria Municipal de Cultura (Secult) recebe, nesta sexta-feira (06), a partir das 17h, a 25ª edição do ‘Esquina da Arte’. O projeto cultural que reúne artesanato, arte, música, literatura, teatro, gastronomia e design, acontecerá na Praça Pedro II, em frente ao Palácio La Ravardière, sede do Executivo Municipal.
O evento terá a participação de cinquenta artesãos, num total de sessenta expositores, e visa a promover um espaço para dar visibilidade às produções artesanais e ao empreendedorismo para o fomento da economia criativa local.
“A gestão do prefeito Eduardo Braide tem o compromisso de apoiar e reconhecer iniciativas como estas, que valorizam a cultura, a arte e o trabalho dos artesãos e empreendedores de São Luís, somando também com o desenvolvimento da economia criativa da nossa cidade”, disse o secretário municipal de Cultura, Marco Duailibe.
Desde que foi iniciado, em 2014, o projeto já contou com a presença de 600 expositores e mais de 200 artesãos.
“A Esquina da Arte surgiu de uma ideia de reunir os artesãos que forneciam produtos para minha loja de artesanato. Assisti a uma palestra no Sebrae, na qual conheci Creusa Medeiros, que fazia uma feirinha cultural em Cuiabá. Eu achei muito interessante, porque o que eu sonhava, ela já realizava. E, em São Luís, não havia nenhuma feira de iniciativa privada, em via pública, onde os artesãos não dependessem de nenhum patrocínio”, contou Liana Piorski, idealizadora e realizadora da Esquina da Arte.
Com o objetivo primordial de agir como um facilitador e mediador, o projeto foi responsável por mudar vidas, ao proporcionar a geração de outras iniciativas. “Hoje, a gente vê muitos expositores, a qualidade do produto, o posicionamento, rede de contatos que gerou duplas, lojas, oficinas e novas iniciativas”, completou Liana Piorski.
Atualmente, o projeto já tem cadastrado mais de 200 artesãos e três instituições que trabalham com pessoas em situação de vulnerabilidade: Casa Acolher, Humasol e Instituto Emília Feliz.
