Droga era transportada em carreta bitrem
Na tarde deste domingo (12), a Polícia Civil do Maranhão apreendeu, no município de Caxias, ao leste do estado, cerca de 208 kg de maconha. Dk total apreendido, cerca de 143 kg do tipo comum e 66 kg de skunk – conhecida como super maconha.
Os tabletes da droga apreendida estavam sendo transportados em uma carreta bitrem, que foi abordada com o apoio da Polícia Rodoviária Federal. Durante a abordagem, o motorista alegou que a carga seria levada para São Luís.
A apreensão é resultado de investigação e aconteceu por volta do meio dia, na BR 316, e foi realizada por policiais civis da Delegacia de Homicídios de Timon, em conjunto com a equipe do departamento de inteligência da Polícia Civil da cidade.
Considerando o preço do quilo desses tipos de entorpecentes, a carga apreendida resultou em prejuízo de cerca de RS 2,9 milhões aos grupos criminosos envolvidos com o narcotráfico, o que também incide diretamente na redução de todos tipos de crimes, incluindo aqueles contra a vida.
O secretário de Estado da Segurança Pública, Maurício Martins, destacou a importância da apreensão realizada pela Polícia Civil.
“A apreensão de drogas representa duro prejuízo para a atividade do narcotráfico na medida em que gera o enfraquecimento dessas organizações criminosas, diminuindo o seu poder de atuação. Deste modo, reduzimos a incidência da criminalidade. Por isso, este é um dos focos de atuação das nossas polícias”, enfatizou Maurício Martins ao agradecer o trabalho das equipes policiais que atuaram na operação.
O flagrante da apreensão foi registrado no Plantão da Policia Civil local e a investigação, conforme explicou o delegado-geral da Polícia Civil, Jair Paiva, será conduzida a partir de agora pelo Departamento Estadual de Prevenção e Repressão ao Narcotráfico (Denarc) de Caxias.
“Foi mais uma apreensão importante de drogas ilícitas, resultado do trabalho de investigação. Com base no depoimento do motorista, já sabemos o destino da carga. Vamos prosseguir com a investigação até a completa elucidação, que nos levará aos líderes”, informou Jair Paiva.
Além da quantidade apreendida, as equipes destruíram centenas de pés de cannabis sativa que, se colhidos, poderiam produzir cerca de seis toneladas da droga. Os policiais também encontraram e destruíram bombas de água, tubulações e mangueiras destinadas à irrigação da plantação, prensas comumente associadas ao processamento da maconha para o transporte, além de uma grande quantidade de fertilizantes químicos e insumos agrícolas.
