Campinas, SP, 22 (AFI) – Dois times da elite do Brasileirão confirmaram vaga para a segunda fase da Copa do Brasil nesta quinta-feira. Em jogos únicos da etapa de estreia, Corinthians e Cuiabá passaram sem sustos. Já o Coritiba, tradicional clube brasileiro, foi surpreendido e acabou eliminado pelo modesto Águia de Marabá, que disputa a Série D do Campeonato Brasileiro.
TIMÃO CLASSIFICADO
Superior os 90 minutos, o Corinthians carimbou sua classificação para a segunda fase da Copa do Brasil. O time paulista foi até o interior do Paraná, nesta quinta-feira , e no estádio Willie Davids, venceu o Cianorte por 3 a 0. Raphael, contra, e Romero, duas vezes, foram os autores dos gols.
Agora o Corinthians aguarda o vencedor do duelo entre Olaria-RJ e São Bernardo, que se enfrentam na próxima quarta-feira, no Rio de Janeiro.
POLO AQUÁTICO
Em jogo que deveria ter acontecido na noite de quarta-feira e foi adiado para a tarde desta quinta-feira, devido a chuva, e mesmo assim teve um campo em más condições, praticamente todo alagado, no estádio José Olímpio da Rocha, em Águia Branca, interior do Espírito Santo, o Cuiabá bateu o Real Noroeste-ES, pelo placar de 4 a 1.
Os gols foram marcados por Dérik Lacerda (2x) Pitta e Marllon, enquanto Lausen descontou. Agora, o Cuiabá terá pela frente, na segunda fase, a Portuguesa-RJ que se classificou ao segurar um empate sem gols com o Audax-RJ.
ZEBRA
Já no estádio Zinho de Oliveira, em Marabá, no Pará, em duelo disputado à noite, o Coritiba acabou eliminado pelo Águia de Marabá-PA, de virada, pelo placar de 3 a 2. Braga, Iury Tanque e Junior Dindê marcaram para os paraenses, enquanto Matheus Frizzo e Bruno Melo fizeram para os visitantes.
Na segunda fase, o Águia de Marabá irá enfrentar o Capital-TO que eliminou o conterrâneo Tocantinópolis, no estádio Nilton Santos, pelo placar de 2 a 1. O time paraense tenta repetir a mesma campanha histórica do ano passado, em que chegou até terceira fase da Copa do Brasil.
GRANA BOA
Além dos quase R$ 1.5 milhões pela participação, Corinthians e Cuiabá por estarem na elite do Brasileirão embolsaram mais R$ 1.785 milhões pela classificação. Já o Águia de Marabá, por estar em divisões inferiores, recebeu R$ 780 mil pela participação e mais R$ 945 mil por avançar de fase.
