Atualmente reserva, Anderson, de 26 anos, foi procurado pela alta cúpula do clube para aumentar o vínculo, que dura até o fim 2024. O novo seria válido até dezembro do ano que vem, podendo ainda ser renovado ainda por outra temporada.
Ele pode, a partir de julho, assinar pré-contrato com qualquer equipe. O arqueiro chegou aos mineiros em 2023, jogando oficialmente somente uma vez. Na ocasião, no Estádio Mineirão, pelo primeiro turno do Brasileirão, enfrentou o Botafogo e não sofreu gols.
Apesar de suplente de Rafael Cabral, o arqueiro demonstra liderança dentro do grupo de jogadores. Mesmo atuando pouco, suas características dentro e fora das quatro linhas agradam tanto a comissão técnica quanto os diretores da Raposa.
Oriundo das categorias de base do Palmeiras, onde chegou bastante jovem, no sub-15, nunca vestiu a camisa do time paulista nos profissionais. Depois passou por Santa Cruz-PE, Athletico-PR e Náutico-PE, antes de defender as cores do Cabuloso.
